Eliza townsend, Executive Director

Eliza Townsend is the Executive Director of the Maine Women’s Lobby and the Maine Women’s Policy Center. Eliza brings extensive professional experience to the organizations, along with a strong track record of working collaboratively with a wide range of people. Eliza served eight years in the Maine House of Representatives before moving from public service into the non-profit sector by becoming the first Executive Director of the Maine League of Conservation Voters & Maine Conservation Voters Education Fund. Danna Hayes, Director of Public Policy

Danna joined the Maine Women's Lobby in the spring of 2013. Previously, Danna worked as a community organizer for the Preble Street Maine Hunger Initiative where she worked to expand access to federal nutrition programs, advocated on behalf of low-income Mainers and strengthened the emergency food system. Danna is a graduate of Vermont Law School. While in law school, she worked for New Hampshire Legal Assistance, the Vermont Attorney General's Civil Rights Unit and the Vermont Department of Education Office of General Counsel. Kathy Kilrain del Rio, Development & Communications Coordinator

Kathy joined the Maine Women's Lobby and Maine Women's Policy Center in the spring of 2012. She coordinates the development and communications efforts of both organizations. Janet Pierce, Administrative Assistant

Janet brings three decades of experience to her position as Administrative Assistant for the Maine Women’s Policy Center and Maine Women’s Lobby. She retired in 2002 from a Personnel Officer position, having occupied several different classifications during her 35 tenure in state government. (More...)
